Wow! This concept is so hard to grasp when we start a diet program. The fact is, we do need to feed our bodies nutritionally--get off the couch and move regularly. The reward a healthier and slimmer body--thanks Doc for the reminder!!

The truly wonderful thing about NCCAM is that most of the research done under the banner of "CAM" is clinically oriented. That means that the tax payer money used is not being paid out to proprietary cell culture companies and rat breeders or to spend years of intelligent people's time on postulating mechanisms, but rather direct CLINICALLY relevant studies. Thanks for posting this.

i like the purity of what you're writing and feeling--but we have a society that lives out of balance-what we choose to put in our bodies and minds--far out of balance. You will need to educate those who have no clue of your language, with patience, kindness, and healing.God forbid you should ask someone to change a habit, that we know from a naturopathic view--is out of balance and will cause disease. Most will want a quick solution to a problem--but the balance that ND's bring to the healing process is so needed. I feel so proud that you have taken the responsibility upon yourself to be part of the solution.
